Canine Training
Puppy Obedience Training
While the misconception of waiting to train your puppy is widely held, you'll find greater long-term results with your new friend by starting as soon as the relationship begins. It's best to get started off on the right paw! Typically, ages from 6-8 weeks to 6-8 months old
Canine Basic Obedience
Resolving a wide range of issues, our canine basic obedience training program is comprehensive and covers all the criteria you'll need to navigate a trouble-free relationship. Whether you need help walking your pup on leash. assistance in showing your new fur friend not to jump on guests, or a hand in teaching your dog to come when called, this is the course for you! Our criteria utilizes your pups own focus and engagement to teach and shape advanced behaviors in order to utilize them later from our "training tool box." We will cover sit, down, place, heel, and recall commands throughout this program's entirety. The CBOB program is intended for adolescent and adult dogs.
Service Dog Training
The K9 Institute also offers their experience in teaching and training advanced task-based behaviors and service dog criteria. Please reach out today with any questions or to receive a personalized estimate. From mobility assistance to emotional support, we can help your k9 team reach its full potential. We also offer CKC pretest courses to ensure your pup passes with flying colors.
Aggressive Behavior Modification
No behavior is too severe or challenging and with our assistance, you can regain control, achieve balance, and obtain progress. You in fact CAN teach an old dog new tricks but don't delay getting a handle on bad behavior. The sooner you call us, the better. With experience rehabilitating the most severe of issues, we are eager to find the dogs who need our help the most. Keep in mind that more advanced behaviors typically require a board and train program to resolve.

Canine Programs
Board & Train
This extensive package is a start to finish option that allows you the ability to maintain your pups advanced obedience upon their completion. It includes a lesson/visit 2 weeks into their stay at our family farm here in Kings Mountain at the west side of Crowders Mountain State Park. With the park as our neighbor, we enjoy trail walks, off leash training, and have a large creek for summer swims. You will also receive a lesson on your pups graduation day as well as a follow up lesson to utilize ANYTIME you see fit! To ensure your success, we also provide you with an at home training guide. Your guide will break down your pup's obedience training step by step in an easy-to-understand process. Vaccinations are required for an overnight stay.
BOARDING is available nightly, working and non-working days, available for existing clients only.
***Enrollment in any program is dependent upon your pups in home evaluation. We provide all potential clients an in-home temperament test as a means to assess your dog in their environment at no charge.
***Program enrollment will vary per case depending on your pups temperament and your training goals.
